Personal Quotation: “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” — Benjamin Franklin
Why did you get into the Financial Services Industry? I have always been drawn to financial planning. In college, I was fortunate to be introduced to the field in great detail through several key relationships that I still maintain today. Although the technical elements of financial planning initially attracted me, it wasn’t until I began working in the industry that I realized the most rewarding aspect is the satisfaction of helping people reach their goals.
Where did you go to school & what certifications do you have? I earned a BS from Monmouth University with a concentration in Finance. In addition, I hold several securities licenses, including the Series 6, 65, and 63. My commitment to financial planning led me to pursue the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation, which I earned in 2010. In 2013, I received a Retirement Income Planning certificate from the highly regarded Aresty Institute of Executive Education at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
What is the most valuable piece of advice/wisdom you’ve received? My lifelong mentor has been my father. Although he has given me thousands of life-changing pieces of advice, the one that has always stayed with me is: “Be the hardest-working person in the room.”
What charitable organizations are you affiliated with? My wife and I are active members of St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River, where we participate in many events throughout the year. Professionally, I served as Vice President of the Ocean/Monmouth chapter of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) for 13 years.
